Reports
As a part of completing your match assignment, the referee is required to submit a report within 48 hours of the end of the match.
In most cases, this is simply reporting the score through the online ArbiterSports platform.
In a few other cases - per USSF, “If needed, and in addition to the U.S. Soccer Referee Report, the U.S. Soccer Supplemental Referee Report can be used for instances of referee assault, referee abuse, dismissal of team officials, sending-off offenses, serious injuries, game abandonment or other substantial occurrences. U.S. Soccer Supplemental Referee Report.”
Reports should be succinct and address the following items:
WHO: What players, coaches, and/or spectators were involved
WHERE: Where on the field (or off the field) did the situation occur
WHEN: What time in the match did the situation occur (before, during, or after) and did it continually occur or did it happen once
WHAT: What happened in the situation
Do not imply intent! Instead, use neutral language to describe the incident.
Example: #11 Arturo Marcus of FC Soccer fouled #3 Peter Kowalski of ENY FC by challenging for the ball with an extended leg with their studs showing and made contact with #3 on their shin area.
