Justen Lopez selected Grade 4 National Referee for 2015

Justen Lopez who began his career in the Capital District has been selected as a National Referee for 2015. The following are his comments when contacted by CDRef

"I am very honored to have been selected as a Grade 4 National Official for 2015!
It is a phenomenal feeling to have accomplish one of my goals, and an even greater
feeling reflecting on what got me here.

I look back to my start at Charbonneau’s Rec, and then my break out into the Capital District doing youth and adult games and tournaments, which helped me get invited to regional and national events. It all started here.

It is now my privilege to be included among the referees representing the Capital District who have made it to the National level. Sharon Wheeler, Yevgeniy Mednikov, and Emilie Buse have not only been role models and mentors for me, but also friends. None of this can be accomplished without the support of family and friends, on and off the field.”

Congratulations to Justen
