About CDRef
The Capital District Referee Association is a group dedicated to the development of soccer referees in the greater Capital District of New York State. We are associated with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) through the Eastern New York Soccer Association, Inc.
We are committed to providing the highest quality refereeing through ongoing training and assessments of referees. All referees are expected to provide professional quality ethical refereeing to ensure the safety of the players and the enjoyment of players, coaches, fans and families.
State Association
Eastern New York (ENY) is the State Referee Association for CDRef. Our association is one of 10 associations in ENY that provides support to referees.
Per USSF, “There are 55 State Referee Associations that support the U.S. Soccer Federation Referee Program at the local level. Each association is responsible for promoting and implementing U.S. Soccer's initiatives and programs in support of all affiliated members and competitions within their jurisdiction.”
