Risk Management is required every two years for all officials over the age of 18.

Risk Management is an online process that must be completed to process a background check for officials who work with players aged 18 and younger.

Risk Management is comprised of two requirements:

• SafeSport

• U.S. Soccer Federation Gold Standard NCSI Background Check

The Risk Management process is typically a part of your recertification. You cannot be an active official if the risk management items have expired.

• Find out when your risk management will expire by logging into your profile in the U.S. Soccer Learning Center.
