Assessment

CDRef assessment and evaluation is provided under the direction of United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and Eastern New York Referee Association in accordance with rules, directives and interpretation of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The assessment process is important for referees who would like to become qualified to officiate higher level matches.

CDRef assessment and evaluation is overseen by Eugene Mednikov.

CDRef is honored to have Sharon Wheeler as a member of the association. Sharon is a former National Referee Coach who assists with assessment and evaluation. Sharon is also an Emeritus National Referee who is a former FIFA Assistant Referee. She brings a high level of knowledge, experience, and professionalism to officiating in the Capital Region.

The Assessment and Evaluation program is an important part of improving the effectiveness of referees. It provides real game feedback and ensures that the referee is meeting the expectations and requirements of USSF as they continue to develop and officiate in more challenging matches.
